Marion Jones, one of the most bemedalled athletes in the 2000 Sydney Olympics tarnished her golden image and admitted that she used performance- enhancing drugs (read: steriods) on her way to the top of the track world.
Once America’s Sports Darling and Sprint Queen, she’s now umasked as nothing but a pretender to the throne and a fraud.
She’s been involved in a lot of controversies in and out of the track and is now facing several charges for check-fraud and for lying under oath in the BALCO investigation among others.
She now faces some time in prison and is due for sentencing in January 2008.
